This morning, Bristol’s Emily Parr became the first housemate to leave the Big Brother house in 2007 after she was removed as a result of using a racially offensive remark toward fellow housemate Charley Uchea.

The previous evening as both Emily and Charley were dancing in the living room, Emily asked Charley “Are you pushing it out n****r?”.

After she had made the remark, Emily made it clear that it was not intended to cause offence and both Charley and Nicky both stated that they weren’t offended, just shocked at what she had said.

The comment in question was not screened and following a consultation between the senior production staff and executives at Channel 4, it was decided that Emily Parr would be expelled from the Big Brother house.

She was summoned to the Diary Room at around 3.30 this morning and swiftly removed from the house, her fellow contestants were not aware of her departure until around 9:30am.

Emily was due to be one of two housemates up for eviction on Friday, however her removal now means that this week’s intended eviction will not take place.
